in my world a grubing hoe has two blades. what you have pictures is known as a cotton hoe because it is the type that was used in the south to chop cotton.

That IS a grubbing hoe. And hoes like that were NOT used to chop cotton. A "regular" hoe was used at least during the past 50 years
I agree, that is a grubbing hoe. It is too heavy and bulky to be used in the cotton fields.
